MAIN MISSION
The IT Technician provides support to assist end users of IT services. He/she answers questions or resolves computer problems for clients in person, via telephone or email. The Information Technician is responsible for installing and maintaining computer hardware, software and networks, and some cases, if possible, do a quick repair on equipments (printers, copiers ...)

FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES
The Information Technician provides hardware and software maintenance, training and consultation, and recommendations about future planning and development of resources.
1. Ensure technology is accessible and equipped with current hardware and software

• Troubleshoot hardware, software and network operating system
• Be familiar with all hardware and software
• Be familiar with network operating system
• Provide orientation to new users of existing technology
• Train staff about potential uses of existing technology
• Provide individual training and support on request
• Maintain current and accurate inventory of technology hardware, software and resources

2. Monitor and maintain technology to ensure maximum access
• Maintain log and/or list of required repairs and maintenance
• Make recommendations about purchase of technology resources
• Provide network access to all staff
• Install work stations
• Connect and set up hardware
• Load all required software

3. Perform other related duties as required during working hours

4.Delivery and Support
• Installs and performs minor repairs to hardware, software, and peripheral equipment, following design or installation specifications.
• Conducts diagnostics to determine nature of problems and provide technical assistance.
• Tests and monitors software, hardware, and peripheral equipment to evaluate determine cause of problems.
• Refers major hardware or software problems or defective products to vendors or technicians for service.
• Inspects equipment and prepares it for delivery to users.

5- Reporting
• Produce weekly, monthly operational and on-demand reports
• Observes other Company processes and procedures
6- Related duties as required or assigned
• Ensures that work areas are clean, secure, and well maintained.
• Other duties as assigned


Qualifications réquises

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Education/Certification
• Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year College or university.
• An Associate’s degree in a related field, such as electronics engineering, computer science.

Experience Required
• At least two years as in Customer Service Support position
• At least one year in Sales
Required KNOWLEDGE:
The incumbent must have proficient knowledge in the following areas:
• Computer hardware and software systems and programs
• Computer networks, network administration and network installation
• Computer troubleshooting
• Computer viruses and security
• E-mail and internet programs
