Introduction
CDC works with Haiti’s Ministry of Public Health and Population (MSPP) to build a sustainable, high-impact national HIV response program with the goal to achieve epidemic control of HIV. CDC’s global health security efforts in Haiti help improve the country’s ability to prevent, detect, and respond to infectious disease outbreaks before they become global epidemics. CDC supports Haiti in strengthening the capacity of its workforce to investigate and respond to disease outbreaks through the establishment of a Field Epidemiology Training Program (FETP). CDC is a major partner in Haiti’s Long-term Cholera Elimination Plan. CDC has worked closely with the MSPP to build TB-related laboratory and clinical capacity at high-volume sites throughout Haiti. Fonctions The incumbent is a public health specialist and technical advisor for HIV prevention, care and treatment interventions and strategies for key populations – defined as populations at high risk for HIV infection and transmission including men who have sex with men, commercial sex workers, transgender individuals and other emergent high-risk groups. The incumbent serves as a program/activity manager and is responsible for the design, implementation and evaluation of a broad range of agency-funded activities required for the President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR) program in Haiti. S/he will serve as the key populations’ technical advisor with the in US Government (USG) interagency team and to the Government of Haiti (GOH), implementing partners (including those funded outside of PEPFAR as needed) and other critical stakeholders, including Civil Society Organizations (CSOs). The incumbent represents CDC on key populations issues, including prevention activities such as pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) and HIV service delivery at technical, policy and strategic planning meetings, including meetings with collaborators and donor agencies.
