Fonctions

Role Purpose: Reporting to the Medical Director, the Gynecologist plays a critical role in helping Hope for Haiti achieve its vision to provide healthcare to people in the south of Haiti, especially of our partner communities. The Gynecologist is a part-time position, working three days a week, based in Les Cayes with some travel to partner sites. The Gynecologist is part of a team responsible for ensuring that the Hope for Haiti Infirmary St. Etienne provides effective, efficient, and quality healthcare to our patients.

This is a National position based Full-time in Les Cayes, Haiti.

Essential Duties and Tasks

Provide healthcare at ISE and mobile clinics
Participate in all aspects of healthcare at ISE, including, but not limited to, taking vitals, prescribing medications, scheduling follow up appointments, and providing healthcare training on various public health topics
Assist the Medical Director with planning, budgeting and implementing clinic activities
Evaluate healthcare at ISE through Monitoring and Evaluation and reporting KPIs
Support new and existing patient care programs
Provide health care to patients related to gynecology and obstetrics, including prevention, diagnosis and treatment.
Supervise the maintenance and operation of gynecological equipment and the use of drugs, prepare new orders when necessary and ensure their rational use. Ensure that stock levels are constantly updated and available
Submit daily reports as requested by the Development team and other staff members within the organization
Provide donor specific content as needed for donor reporting and provide content for grant proposals.
Assist the Medical Director, Referral Program Coordinator, and Administrative team in preparation and medical service for Hope for Haiti volunteer medical teams, donors, and on-site at Infirmary St Etienne.
Other duties as requested by the supervisor


Qualifications réquises

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE

Healthcare degree gynecology, Medical License issued by MSPP required
Sonography and cryotherapy certificate required
Experience in gynecology two (2) years
Ability to perform a pelvic sonography, cervical cryotherapy, and other gynecological exams.
Advanced skills in Windows, Microsoft Office Suite, Google Tools and Internet
Good written and reporting skills;
Ability to write and speak in French and Haitian Creole, English preferred.
Passion and enthusiasm for non-profit work.
Ability to work under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude and joyful demeanor;
Ability to work and establish good relationships with co-workers, partners, and non-partners;
Ability to traverse distances of over 10 kilometers at varying elevations and to elevate 30 pounds over shoulders.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

This is a full-time position with benefits after the completion of a 90 day probationary period. This is NOT an accompanied position and housing or transportation will not be provided.
