I. Background Information:


Fonkoze Foundation: The Fondasyon Kole Zepol (Fonkoze) is a Haitian non-profit organization dedicated to promoting economic inclusion in rural areas, particularly among women. As part of a three-organization family, Fonkoze provides financial and non-financial services to empower Haitians to escape poverty. Boujonnen Lavi is a comprehensive strategy developed by Fonkoze to address food insecurity and livelihood challenges, focusing on a multi-sectoral response that includes food assistance, livelihood support, and income-generating opportunities.

II. Project Background and Summary:
A. Description of the Problem and Context:
Recent Challenges: Haiti has faced significant challenges, including the assassination of President Moise, kidnappings, natural disasters, and fuel shortages.
Earthquake Impact: The South Department experienced a devastating 7.2 magnitude earthquake in August 2021, resulting in over 2,200 casualties, damaged infrastructure, and USD 1.5 billion in damages.
Food Insecurity: 44% of the population (4.3 million people) are experiencing acute food insecurity. The South Department is classified as "crisis" and "urgent" levels in the IPC survey.
Poverty and Malnutrition: More than 99% of families in the targeted region live in extreme poverty. Malnutrition, especially among children and pregnant women, is a pressing issue, with 52,000 reported cases in Haiti.
Agricultural Challenges: Low agricultural productivity contributes to reliance on various income sources, making it difficult for households to secure reliable incomes to purchase food.
Multidimensional Poverty: 60% of Haitian households lack access to at least three of seven basic well-being characteristics, including education, sanitation, clean water, energy, housing, and food security.
B. Evaluation Objectives: The Boujonnen Lavi project aims to document the impact of the intervention on food security, livelihoods, and overall well-being of the population in the South Department. The video and photo documentation will focus on success stories, challenges faced, and the effectiveness of the multi-sectoral response.

III. Scope of Work for Videographer and Photographer:
A. Objectives: Capture high-quality visuals that depict the various facets of the Boujonnen Lavi intervention, including but not limited to:
Success Stories: Document individuals and communities positively impacted by the intervention.
Livelihood Support: Showcase income-generating activities and their impact on households.
Food Assistance: Capture the utilization of food assistance.
Community Engagement: Highlight community involvement and collaboration with CHEs.
Nutritional Education: Depict initiatives addressing malnutrition and promoting healthy practices.
B. Deliverables:
Video Footage: Edit and compile video clips into a comprehensive video presentation (approx. 10-15 minutes).
Photographs: Provide a collection of high-resolution images capturing key moments and activities.
C. Schedule: The videographer and photographer are expected to cover the Boujonnen Lavi intervention during a specified period, ensuring thorough documentation of activities and outcomes.
D. Logistics: Coordinate with project staff to schedule visits to project sites, ensuring access to relevant locations and activities. The videographer and photographer will be responsible for their equipment and field expenses. Fonkoze will be responsible for field transportation.
E. Reporting: Submit the edited video and high-resolution photographs within two weeks after the completion of the fieldwork.

IV. Proposal Submission: Interested videographers and photographers are invited to submit their proposals, including a portfolio of previous relevant work, a proposed budget, and a timeline for completion. Please also include an up-to-date patent of the firm.
Note: Fonkoze Foundation reserves the right to accept or reject any proposal and to negotiate changes to the scope of work and deliverables as needed.
