The Health Program Coordinator is responsible for leading, managing and maintaining delivery of quality health related programming with a particular focus on rehabilitation services and eye and ear care. The Health Program coordinator will ensure strict compliance with donor requirements and CBM’s overall health programs strategy.
The Health Program Coordinator is also responsible for program design, proposal development, grants management, budget monitoring and narrative reporting.
Fonctions
Program Development and Management
• In coordination with the CCO Head of Programs and stakeholders, develop a work plan for activities related to Health and specifically rehabilitation strategies developed for Haiti
• Support the ongoing monitoring of partners involved in the implementation of identified health programs related to rehabilitation and eye and ear care programs
• Engage in regular field visits of CBM supported health projects to identify and respond to health and rehabilitation program needs
• With the support of the CCO Senior Management Team ensure the effective financial planning , management and reporting of health programs
• Coordinate the implementation of rehabilitation activities according to developed work-plan and CCO Haiti strategy with national and international stakeholders
• Identify opportunities to strengthen ENT networks and new ENT project opportunities
• Maintain a close relationship with all rehabilitation and ophthalmology existing partners/collaborators within Haiti and continue building relationships between CBM and other organizations working in the field of health
• Represent CBM in technical working groups and Health cluster meetings
Capacity Building
• Provide adequate mentorship and support to CBM program managers and other CBM staff team members in terms of understanding the rehabilitation, eye care and ENT programs and initiatives within all of CBM programs making linkages as necessary to other CCO projects
• Support partners and CBM implemented projects through organizing and conducting trainings and sensitization sessions promoting health, rehabilitation and health access for persons with disabilities in Haiti
• Participate in and contribute to health and inclusion working group meetings providing technical support as required to strengthen inclusive health programming nationally
• Provide expertise upon request and as relevant to external organizations relating to rehabilitation, eye care and ENT and access to services for persons with disabilities
Monitoring & Evaluation
• Jointly with the Head of Programs develop and refine work-plans to ensure the timely implementation of projects
• With the support of the Head of Programs and stakeholders develop an M&E system for health and rehabilitation projects (including eye and ear care programs)
• Ensure monitoring of activities according to project work-plans and donor M&E and reporting requirements
• Work with CCO Senior Management Team to provide narrative and financial reports as required
Qualifications Requises
• Min. 5 years of professional experience working in community Health development
• A bachelor’s degree in Public Health; Master's Degree in Public health and registered physicians preferred
• Work experience with team leadership/project management roles in a non-governmental organization is key
• Desired knowledge of disability, community-based protection, gender, mental health, human rights, and rehabilitation
• Project management (including proposal development and implementation)
• Strong monitoring and evaluation skills
• Advanced computer skills (word, excel and database management)
• Proven good organizational skills as well as a high level of autonomy and flexibility
• French and Creole are mandatory; good working knowledge in English

Conditions de travail
1- The Health Program Coordinator is a national position. The holder will be based in P-au-P
2- The position is a full time job. The holder is expected to work 40 hours a week and can potentially be asked to work extra hours
3- The Health Program Coordinator may expect frequent visits in the field where CBM is operating, to meet and represent CBM during events and/or meetings with other NGO/Institutions, to travel out of the country.
