Introduction
The Model School Network Coalition was established to oversee the planning, implementation, and governance of the Model School Network Initiative (MSN). The vision for the MSN initiative is to improve life outcomes for children in Haiti’s Central Plateau through a sustainable, multi-layered, data-driven, and effective government and civil society partnership model for the Haitian educational system, and promote quality education.
Fonctions
The MSN Coordinator is responsible for the day-to-day coordination and support of the MSN Coalition and report to the the MSN Board of Directors.
Lead the foundational efforts to start-up the Model School Network
Develop regulations and framework documents for network and Board of Directors. The documents might include - but are not limited to: MSN Status, MOUs, Request for Proposals procedures, and adhesion chart for new members
Develop M&E framework and procedures to be approved by the Board of Directors in collaboration with partners
Organize and facilitate meetings for the MSN members and ensure to keep climate of collaboration and respect
Organize conferences, workshops and events related to the MSN in coordination with host organization and Board of Directors
Manage correspondence and communication related to the MSN, and ensure that responses are prompt and appropriate
Provide day-to-day support to network members and coordinate activities to ensure a successful implementation of the MSN initiative
Monitor the networks and approved projects and activities according to developed benchmarks
Organize review process of proposals submitted to the Board of Directors
Support network partners as needed
Prepare reports, proposals and institutional documents as needed
Bring in consultants when needed in consultation with partners and/or board members
Assist in the promoting the MSN network to funding partners and lead communication with the press when needed
Perform any other tasks within his competence as may be required
Qualifications Requises
Hold a Master’s degree in Education or a related field from a recognized institution
Have at least 5 years of experience managing education projects and coordinating complex projects with multi-donors
Excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to work well with all types of partners including Government officials at all levels
Excellent knowledge of the MENFP and its organization both at the central and regional level
Experience collaborating with major donors
High flexibility and ability to work efficiently in stress and complex situations
Excellent abilities to work within a diverse team and build consensus around key issues to ensure cohesion between network partners
Ability to work alone and as part of a team
Extensive software skills, Internet research abilities and excellent communication skills are required in French, Creole and English
