CIAT is participating in a Chemonics-led USAID funded project on reforestation in Northern Haiti with a strong watershed management focus. The project aims to increase forest and perennial tree cover, with a view to restore and improve environmental services, food security and resilience. An important project element is forest-friendly animal husbandry, to ensure successful tree planting and growth and increase resilience of farmer households to economical and natural shocks. To coordinate this subcomponent, we are seeking an animal production specialist to improve animal husbandry.

• Help communities address conflicts between free roaming animals practice and gardening or reforestation activities

• Develop training materials for forest-friendly livestock value chains
