Pure Water for the World, Inc. is a non-profit, non-governmental organization dedicated to improving the health of children, families and communities in the developing countries by providing them with sustainable water solutions, sanitation and hygiene education.
Pure Water for the World (PWW) has been working in Haiti since 2007, typically serving about 1500 families per year with a field staff of about 23. We are committed to continuously improving the quality of our work as our work continues to scale up.
On most days, field staff are scattered across the countryside, working alone or in pairs. They must work independently, which is very different from the typical situation in which leadership is always present. All staff members need to work productively, responsibly and independently. We must encourage and cultivate our staff’s motivation, dedication to our cause, analytical skills, problem-solving ability, initiative, knowledge, and so on. That takes a special kind of Coordinator.
