Fonctions
The Finance Manager is and important member of the Finance Team and is responsible for the in-market finance functions and reports to the Financial Controller, this includes and is not limited to inventory/stock management, reconciliations, accounts payable, accounts receivable, treasury, debtors and general invoicing, ensuring that appropriate controls and required standards/practices are adhered to.
The ideal incumbent acts as link between Market, Shared Service Centre, Hub and Group Finance functions.
Additional Duties Are:
I. Reporting & Forecasting
• Prepare reporting – daily, weekly and monthly, and ad hoc as required, on P&L and KPIs
• Prepare financial forecast, including sourcing data/other inputs and validating
• Verify revenue reporting, taking appropriate action where discrepancies/errors are identified
• Communication and presentation of reporting and forecasting to CEO and Senior Management
• Prepare Statutory Financial Statements as required
• Prepare Regulatory Authority reports as required
II. Management of In Market Finance Functions
• Maintain internal controls to minimize stock loss due to fraudulent activities and theft
• Prepare/review valuations/costing of all stock held on the Balance Sheet
• Review and validate stock status by tracking stock movements, comparing expected stock status to physical stock counts and system SOH on a weekly/monthly basis and as required
• Identify and highlight any stock variances/losses
• Prepare weekly/monthly reports on device and recharge sales for comparison against budget /other targets.
• Identify and highlight aged stock on a monthly basis as part of stock reporting ensuring that provisions are made for slow moving/obsolete stock
• Manage accounts receivable function, including debtor controls, proactively chasing debtors, taking appropriate action and reporting regularly as required
• Manage accounts payable function, completing reconciliations are completed efficiently and suppliers are paid in timely fashion, thereby maintain good relationships and preferential customer status
• Manage treasury function as required, ensuring adequate controls and reconciliations are performed
III. Coordination of External Resources
• Liaison with Shared Services Centre, acting as key link between the outsourced functions and the market, coordinating information flows as required
• Liaison with Central Hub and Group based finance functions, acting as key link between these functions and the market, coordinating requests, reporting and other information flows
Qualifications Requises
Expected Qualifications and Experience
•Degree level qualification in Finance
•Relevant and current accountancy certification from recognized body
•At least 8 years accountancy experience, of which minimum 3 in commercial finance roles, including comprehensive experience of reporting
Required Skills and Competencies
•Advanced competency with Microsoft Word applications – minimum Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
•Advanced competency with accounting applications
•Advanced competency with financial reporting tools
•Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
•Leadership and working as part of team
•Ability to handle and deliver on multiple priorities from multiple stakeholders in high pressure environment
