Job Summary
The primary role of the Media Content Specialist is to be a visual storyteller. This intermediate specialist captures videos, photos, and editorial content to support revenue growth and create deeper levels of engagement between Compassion supporters and their beneficiaries. The specialist works within a highly collaborative regional team with a strong emphasis on partnership with international Compassion offices. At this career level, the incumbent generally works independently on moderately complex projects or as a team member on larger projects. He or she may coach other specialists. Candidates must be fluent in English, both written and verbal. Bilingual in a secondary language (native to the region) is preferred.
Qualifications Requises
1. Mature Christian person, based on evangelical Christian values; has a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and is above reproach in integrity and honesty.
2. Bachelor's Degree in this or related field.
3. Fluent in English, both written and verbal. Bilingual in a secondary language (native to the region) is preferred.
4. Three years’ experience working in photojournalism or similar position or field. Demonstrated experience in photography, video, and journalism strongly preferred.
5. Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, specifically Light room and photo editing software preferred.
6. Ability to provide expertise to other professionals and support staff in the creative discipline.
7. Able to travel up to 30% of normal schedule
