Introduction
DAI seeks qualified individuals to fill various technical positions, focused on credit, equity, and SME capacity building on an anticipated activity, “Platform for Investment Mobilization.” Funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), this 5-year activity will provide a vehicle for catalyzing financing from Haitian banks and other financial institutions into Haitian ventures and businesses.
The Technical Specialist is responsible for the day-to-day implementation of technical program activities and will ensure the integration of activities across components.
This is a full-time position based in Port au Prince, Haiti.
Fonctions
• Provide technical leadership in relevant subject area (credit/equity/SME capacity building) and oversee design and implementation of activities related to credit/equity/SME capacity building
• Build working relationships with relevant stakeholders, including banks, SMEs, government institutions, private equity funds, investors, private sector actors, and other donors
• Coordinate closely with other technical leads and crosscutting and operational teams
• Working with MEL Manager, ensure any learnings are incorporated into activities
• Contribute to development of monthly, quarterly, and annual reports for submission to USAID
• Work with Grants & Contracts Manager to ensure technical integrity of grantee/subcontractor work and provide technical guidance/training to grantees/subcontractors
Qualifications Requises
• A minimum of 7 years of progressively responsible professional experience in fields related to the successful implementation of this project such as banking, financial services and investment advisory expertise, private sector capacity development, and public and private sector engagement
• An advanced graduate degree in a related field of study, e.g. Finance, Investment, Business Management, and Enterprise Development
• Evidence of strong communication skills, both interpersonal and written, to fulfill the diverse technical and managerial requirements of the contract
• Knowledge of Haitian finance and investment sector issues, preferred.
• Experience working in Haiti on donor-funded programs, preferred
• Fluency in French and English, required. Fluency in Haiti Creole, preferred
