Position Overview
The Finance Manager is a crucial member of Project Medishare senior leadership team and will ensure that all finance, accounting, compliance, budgeting, and reporting processes are executed effectively and efficiently. The Finance Manager will be required to manage complex and broad-ranging financial tasks while thinking critically and strategically. The Finance Manager will work closely with team members responsible for program management, clinical oversight, and procurement in order to produce necessary financial reports and ensure compliance with internal and external requirements.

Responsibilities

Ensure adequate financial systems and controls are in place and followed at all times
Develop monthly financial budget forecasts and cash flow projections for program operations
Manage month end close and reporting including financial reconciliations, cash flow balances, and ensuring compliance of program expenditures with approved budgets
Perform monthly financial analyses on Project Medishare expenditures, documenting and monitoring overall budget adherence, analyzing trends, and highlighting issues
Work with Country Director and Human Resources Manager team to ensure compliance with necessary local statutory requirements (e.g. labor law, ONA, DGI) and to ensure tax reports and other legal requirements are prepared and submitted in a timely fashion
Generate and submit monthly payroll and ensure that local staff are paid on-time and in accordance with local labor laws
Responsible for ensuring on-time payments of all suppliers and that all payments are made in accordance with financial policies and procedures
Ensure that all required financial reports are submitted on time and in compliance with donor requirements
Mentor and advise staff on financial responsibilities and procedures
Work closely with Country Director on annual budget development process and provide guidance and assistance to program and clinical staff in budget development
Create budgets for new funding opportunities


Qualifications Requises

Qualifications

At least 5 years of experience in finance or accounting required; experience in financial management of international development projects a must
Bachelors in accounting, finance, or related field required; masters and/or CPA preferred
Demonstrated strength in relevant computer software, QuickBooks and Excel required
Exceptional organizational, analytical, and communication skills with strong attention to detail, and the ability to deliver results on tight deadlines
Fluency in English and French required, proficiency in Haitian Creole preferred
Financial management experience for USAID funded projects (preferred)
Commitment to health care equity
