The U.S. Embassy in Port-au-Prince is seeking an individual for the position of Senior Education Advisor within the USAID Mission (ANNOUNCEMENT NUMBER: 17-141)
Fonctions
The Senior Education Advisor has a leadership role in designing, managing and evaluating the Mission education portfolio. S/he represents USAID’s education program to the Government of Haiti, in particular the Ministry of National Education (MENFP), and leads collaboration with key education stakeholders including donors, civil society and private sector partners. The Senior Education Advisor reports to the Education Office Chief and supervises staff as required.
Qualifications Requises
Master’s degree in the field of Education.
At least 10 years of progressively responsible experience designing, implementing, and managing education programs in developing countries that respond to strategic priorities of government, civil society and donor partners. Demonstrated program management and problem solving skills in a complex and highly sensitive environment is required, as is the ability to identify and apply innovative concepts and strategies to improve access to quality education. Demonstrated knowledge of USAID procedures and systems for program management is also required.
