The position is responsible for assisting with implementation and oversight of an HIV sentinel serosurvey to be conducted at 25 antenatal care (ANC) clinics located throughout Haiti. The Haitian Ministry of Health (MSPP) plans to implement the survey to estimate HIV and syphilis prevalence among pregnant women attending ANC clinics in Haiti. The position will work with key partners, including CDC and the Ministry of Health (MoH), to implement and oversee the project. The position will also work with ANC sites to collect and transport specimens, assure quality, and provide technical assistance and support.

The position will work with key NASTAD, MoH and CDC staff to oversee implementation of survey, including :
• Provision of training and ongoing supervision to staff at pilot sites
• Collection and transport of serum specimens from sites to a testing facility in Port-au-Prince
• Ensuring that sites rigorously adhere to survey protocol standards governing patient confidentiality, data collection, and serum collection and storage
• Data analysis and compilation of survey results.

Education/Experience
• Advanced Degree in Medicine/Nursing or Public Health preferred.
• Minimum of four (4) years of HIV or community health program experience.
• Strong experience in public health program planning and implementation, monitoring, evaluating, and documenting observed activities.
• Strong and demonstrated experience in training and group facilitation.
• Experience in data management and data analysis, with ability to perform simple reporting statistics.

Knowledge and Skills
• Excellent written/oral communication and presentation skills in French and Creole; English is an asset.
• Knowledge of HIV, including prevention, care and treatment.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to write clear and accurate reports.
• Ability to communicate effectively with partners, staff, and colleagues.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite with strong computer skills.

• Position requires mobility and ability to travel independently.

Visual Acuity, Hearing, and Speaking
• Position requires the ability to communicate effectively both in person and via telephone and/or non-visual internet connection.

Environment and Scheduling
• Interest in working with an HIV/AIDS public health organization.
• Interest in working within a diverse work environment.
• Travel requirement may be up to 50% throughout Haiti
