Introduction

Maternal, Adolescent & Child Health (MatCH) is a division of the Wits Health Consortium under the School of Public Health of the University of the Witwatersrand. MatCH is a consortium partner implementing the EQUIP project. EQUIP is an international grant to implement projects in five key solution areas - innovative models of ART service delivery; innovative approaches to support viral load scale-up; strategies and technologies to more effectively identify and link patients to treatment, foster ongoing adherence and retention; identify approaches that respond to the needs of key populations and promising “Test and Start” strategies in countries in Africa, South East Asia and the Caribbean.

MatCH is looking for the following staff to join their EQUIP Team based in Haiti
Main Purpose of the Job
The incumbent will be responsible for providing technical assistance, advice and strategic direction to strengthen HIV testing service delivery and quality assurance whilst assisting with the development and monitoring of implementation of comprehensive strategies to identify positives and improve linkage to treatment.

Fonctions

• Provide technical support to the National AIDS Control Program for the revision / updating of national guidelines and related standard operating procedures
• Collaborate with Implementing partners to provide technical assistance at regional and site level to improve quality of HIV testing services Work with Implementing partners and supported sites to design appropriate and adapted strategies to improve linkage to treatment for people who test positive for HIV in line with 90-90-90 goals
• Support implementing partners in providing capacity building, training and mentoring to improve HIV clinical care and treatment service delivery at supported ART sites
• Provide technical assistance to improve data collection, reporting and data utilization to programmatic decision
• Participate in stakeholder meetings, events and campaigns.
• Self-management and performance ownership.
• Research and development.
• Strategic direction / management.


Qualifications Requises

Required minimum education and training
• Degree in Medicine, Nursing
• Proficiency in English (level IV)

Minimum work experience
• Minimum 5 years of experience working in HIV clinical care service delivery.

Desirable additional education, work experience and personal abilities
• Master degree in Public Health.
• Experience in implementing continuous quality improvement methodologies
• Data Management experience.
• Computer skills (MS Office package).
• Fluency in French and Haitian Creole.
• Willingness to travel extensively including in remote areas
• Ability to handle a varied, busy and pressurized work load with competing demands on time.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work with staff at all levels
