Introduction
The Project Manager is responsible for providing strategic input in the business development process and will manage multiple client projects throughout the activity cycle (kickoff, startup, implementation, close-out). The Project Manager serves as the team leader tying in all aspects of the project: ensuring that the firm’s core values are adhered to, guiding technical team and trouble-shooting; liaising with accounting and administration to coordinate for procurement of resources needed; and collaborating closely with the Regional Administrator. The Project Manager ensures that the original workplan, vision and approach are being pursued and adapted to achieve project objectives.
Fonctions
Business Development
• Collaborate with business development team members, providing insight deemed valuable for the proposal development process (partner management, proposal conceptualizing and writing, personnel recruitment, budgeting, project management, etc.)
• Participate in RFP tracker meetings
• Signal new opportunities for program expansion within the strategic priorities of Ayiti Nexus
• Work with technical and office staff to identify long and short-term consultants for activities, or to expand the firm’s hiring database
• Schedule, convene and facilitate activity kick off and review meetings
Project Management
• Ensure liaison between Ayiti Nexus’ senior management, consultants and clients
• Work with the firm’s admin staff to identify resources needed for implementation of activity contracts, and plan out procurement timeline
• Collaborate with admin/HR staff on project staff recruitment efforts (reviewing resumes, taking part in interviews, etc.)
• Manage the consultant onboarding process to ensure new consultants are properly introduced to the various aspects of the firm’s culture and standards
• Ensure that templates and tools for project deliverables are developed and systematically used
• Ensure contract terms are respected and deliverables are submitted according to deadlines agreed upon with client
• Manage work charts and coordinate activity schedules
• Mitigate risks and find solutions to various challenges that may arise during implementation
• Lead activity tracker meetings and ensure they happen weekly
• Monitor and regularly report activity progress to senior management
• Work with lead consultants to collect project data throughout the project lifecycle; make sure data is analyzed and inserted into project documentation and communications
• Oversee the day-to-day operational aspects of specific projects and their scope
• Review consultants’ deliverables and ensure they meet quality standards set by management prior to submission
• Seek client satisfaction with Ayiti Nexus’ performance
• Ensure project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately
• Ensure Ayiti Nexus and the client both receive appropriate levels of visibility under the different activities
• Perform other official duties as assigned
Qualifications Requises
Professional Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
• At least 3 years of experience managing projects, working in development or a related field
• Strong analytical and conceptual skills
• Fluency in English and French (written and spoken); Creole desirable
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (especially Word and Excel software)
• Experience with database management
