World Neighbors (WN), a nonprofit international development organization, is seeking

candidates with strong nonprofit leadership, financial management and capacity building skills to fill the position of Senior Program Associate in Haiti. The suitable person will be responsible for WN’s multiple programs from commencement through implementation by supervising both the technical staff and partners (local NGOs, community based organizations and/or local governments) in the country. He/she will be responsible for seeking out funding opportunities and maintaining relations with other entities in Haiti, and strengthening the capabilities of WN staff and local partners through our holistic approach, in conjunction with our participatory and people-centered methodology.
The selected candidate will be responsible for implementing WN Strategic Plan. He/she will be responsible for preparing the country program’s annual plan and budget in collaboration with support and oversight from the Regional and Headquarters offices. The candidate must effectively communicate with WN Regional Office regarding country program planning, budgeting and proposal opportunities; while representing WN in Haiti.
Qualifications Requises
Education:
University degree (or equivalent) in social, behavioral sciences, business administration or other related disciplines.
Experience:
At least three years’ experience in project implementation or rural development programs in Haiti.
Experience in strategic planning, human resources, financial and budget preparation.
Experience working with local and international NGOs, grassroots organizations, social movements and networks.
Experience in training, supervision and coaching staff and third-party contractors.
Skills:
• Bilingual, must be fluent in French-Creole as mother tongue as well as in English (speaking and writing).
• Ability to design and support rural development programs that are implemented through local partners.
• Ability to promote effective teamwork through strong leadership skills and results management performance.
• High level of computer literacy and MicroSoft Office programs, in particular, Excel for preparing budgets and Word for multiple report assignments.
• Proficient in QuickBooks.
• Possess effective management and human resource skills.
Conditions particulières
WN has a six-month probationary period.

Salary: Salary and benefits in accordance with those established for the Latin America and Caribbean Region, consistent with WN Global Human Resources Policy, Haitian labor laws, and prior experience.
