Medair is an International humanitarian organisation inspired by Christian faith with her headquarters based in Switzerland. Medair is currently working in 12 countries. Our main goal is bringing relieve to human suffering in some of the most remote and devastated places. We bring relief and recovery to people in crisis, regardless of race, creed or nationality.

For our country program in Haiti, we're looking for a local Field Communications Officer (FCO). The FCO is an important member of a diverse team who are committed to serve the world’s most vulnerable with practical and compassionate care. The FCO is a vital information link between beneficiaries and Medair's target audiences. The FCO needs to be able to switch quickly at different levels of Communication (Headquarters, beneficiaries, expat staff, local staff etc.).

Responsibilities:
- Communications and Fundraising Resources
- Media and Public Relations
- Social Media
- Institutional Donor relationships
- Internal Communication
- Brand and Co-branding Coordination

- Excellent working level of English (spoken and written)
- Average working level of French (spoken and written)
- Fluent in Creole
- Working experience in at least one of the following areas: media, communications, marketing, fundraising
- Passion for and understanding of humanitarian context

The FCO will be working from our office in Les Cayes, but will regularly travel to challenging places under less good living circumstances. We're looking for someone who is flexible and able to adapt quickly to the different working environments.
