The Communications Officer will also work closely in cooperation with the communications officer and other members of the IFRC global communications team on documents for public audiences across the globe

• Promote high-quality translated content to the IFRC which aligns with the IFRC writing style guidelines, and the technical language of the operations in each area of water and sanitation, livelihoods, shelter, health, and more.
• Provide verbal translation from/to French, English, Creole during field visits, community meetings etc., as required.
• Work closely with the IFRC regional communications manager for Americas and the IFRC communications officer to ensure that public communications materials are translated in a timely manner for external audiences and the IFRC Newswire.
• Be proficient in MS Word, Excel, Publisher, Outlook, etc.) Internet Browsers, Intranet and other means of technology relevant to the functions in this position (i.e., Social Media Tools).
