Introduction

CBM is an international Christian development organization committed to improving the quality of life of people with disabilities in low income regions of the world. CBM in Haiti aims to ensure people with disabilities have equal rights and opportunities and are empowered to actively participate in the sustainable development of their communities.


Fonctions

General Objective:

To support the Emergency Program manager, partner organisations to develop, implement and monitor a coherent, inclusive and qualitative emergency response

General Reporting

Report to: Emergency / post emergency Programme Manager

Coordinate with: other ERT members and Country office when necessary

Job Profile:


1. Oversee all activities implemented in response to Hurricane Matthew in Jeremie, ensuring timely and quality reporting on project including material for communication and fund raising.

2. Manage the community case managers and social workers implementing the community based protection and mental health response projects.

3. Ensure transparent communication and good coordination with partners and in particular organisation of persons with disabilities and other humanitarian stakeholders.

4. Prepare and submit regular narrative and financial report with the support of the other ERT members.

5. To coordinate with the ERU and report regularly to the program manager located in Les Cayes office through regular meetings and updates

6. Ensure proper monitoring system following ERU format and requirements

7. To provide information for the 3-month and 6-month report.

8. To provide support to the admin/finance officer to ensure the logistic, admin and financial monitoring of the project (call up of funds, acknowledgement of receipt of funds, procurement of materials, utilisation of expenses and compliance with accountability principles.)

9. To participate in coordination meeting (cluster meeting) and ensure advocacy for inclusion of disability in close coordination with the ERT team, ERU and CBM-Haiti CCO

11. To facilitate documentation of learnings and evaluation of the response.

12. Support the coordination and the organisation of programmes for visitors/ teams travelling to the affected catchment areas

Qualifications Requises

Professional and Personal Profile:

Skills:

• Excellent coordination skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent project management skills
• Good monitoring and reporting knowledge
• Knowledge of post emergency and development main tools and principles (including quality standards)
• Knowledge on disability and inclusive development desirable
• Able to work under pressure, independently and to multi-task

Experience in having worked closely with local partners will be a strong advantage

Professional Experience:
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in project/ program management preferably in emergency or post emergency context.
Experience in complex project monitoring and reporting.

Experience in implementing project for and managing important Designated Funded grants is a plus
Education and knowledge:
• High or continuous education in humanitarian / development sectors
• Project cycle management
• Fluent in English, French and Creole
