Introduction
USAID’s MCSP program in Haiti is hiring a Commodity/Supply Chain Manager, who will support MCSP’s work on improving commodity and supply chain issues at SSQH sites and at the national level, and who will be based in Port au Prince and supervise 2 Supply Chain Officers, one based in Cap Haitian and one based in PAP covering central and southern departments.
Fonctions
• Work closely with the other MSPP, USAID implementing partners, UN agencies and other stakeholders to inform the project needs and problems that confront the sites in order to find a solution
• Participate in meetings with partners to ensure proper coordination of commodity and supply chain issues
• Receive reports from sites on logistics, analyze and transmit to the Technical Director
• Ensure that the sites have the capacity and supplies for the tracking of commodities (HIV / AIDS drugs, TB, vaccines, vitamins, family planning methods etc.)
• Participate in and conduct training on the logistics and supply chain issues
• Provide support to sites regarding the lack of basic supplies and actions to ameliorate the situation
• Visit sites and provide assistance with to continuous improvement in the area of commodity and supply chain management and waste management.
Qualifications Requises
• License with a minimum of 6-7 years’ experience in a similar position
• Experience working in supply chain management
• Strong understanding of commodity and supply chain issues in Haiti
• Ability to work in a complex environment with multiple tasks, short deadlines and intense pressure to perform
• Excellent systems management and organizational skills
• Demonstrated self-management (i.e. motivation, dealing with pressure, adaptability)
• Excellent writing, data collection, analysis and reporting skills
• Fluency in French and English; Haitian Creole proficiency also preferred
• Excellent facilitation, oral and written communications skills
• Ability and willingness to travel around Haiti up to 30% of time
