The Warehouse Officer is responsible for the movement and storage of materials throughout the organization.

Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Essential Functions
• Responsible for the management of the warehouse, in line with organizations policies;
• Ensure that accurate and complete accounting, reporting and internal control systems are functioning and that all relevant records are properly maintained;
• Ensure that standard systems are properly maintained at warehouses;
• Assess the availability of space and prepare stacking/storage plans prior to programming/contingency commodities arrivals etc…;
• Supervise the receipt of all arriving consignments and ensure GRN accordingly
• Monitor the quantity and quality of commodity (ies) stored;
• Carry out regular physical random warehouse checks of commodities and inventory;
• Prepare all procedures and necessary steps for commodity disposal;
• Produce regular stocks reports on a monthly basis;
• Prepare loading plans and ensure that standard transfer sheets are duly complete;
• Assist with inventory control on the sites;
• Prepare an inventory of the central office and sites each quarter and submit it to the administration;
• Conduct asset physical inventory of the organization each semester and submit it to the administration;
• Prepare request for services and for payment;
• Revise the reports submitted by the warehouse department;
• Perform other related duties at the request of his direct supervisor;

Qualifications Requises
3. Qualifications
• High school graduate. Further studies desirable, particularly logistics, business or computer related. Can be waived in lieu of proven experience in warehouse management and familiarity with logistics procedures.
• Three years of relevant professional work experience in related field.
• Fluency in French & English.
4. Required Skills:
• Plan and coordinate operations (Receiving and deliveries).
• Excellent logistic skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to understand principles of data management.
• Ability to identify potential problems before they occur. Proactive in preparation and uses initiative in response.
• An excellent record keeper who keeps information up to date.
• Demonstrated capacity for self-organization.
• Ability to manage and organize large groups of laborers.
• Computer skills, including internet navigation, and various office applications.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a multi-cultural environment, and establish harmonious and effective working relationships both within and outside the organization.
