Fonctions

This position supports the overall HR needs for Habitat for Humanity Haiti, working closely with staff in Haiti, at HFHI's regional office for Latin America/Caribbean (LAC) and the headquarters HR department.

Key Responsibilities Include:
*Advise the National Director on all processes related to human resources of Habitat for Humanity Haiti including but not limited to: staffing and recruitment, internal processes and policies, benefits, employee relations
*Act as business partner to the Haiti management team, providing HR-related advice and direction
*Manage the on-boarding process for new hires in Haiti, including creating, developing, implementing, and participating in orientation sessions and working in close collaboration and in compliance with LAC HR on all necessary paperwork requirements
*Manage employee relations for Haiti in compliance with local labor code and HFHI policy
*Identify and implement local resources for recruitment to meet the local hire needs of the Haiti operations
*Ensure proper due diligence regarding the background and reference check process for new hires are done
*Recruit approved positions including screening, interviewing and making initial selection of candidates primarily for assigned positions with the hiring manager
*Manage interview process locally in Haiti including scheduling and related communications
*Maintain HR policies and keep the HR manual up to date
*Review and post job vacancy information, including details such as duties involved and other information required to complete a successful identification, selection and hire
*Collaborate with LAC HR on staffing, recruitment and other HR needs and follow related organizational processes
*Respond to inquiries from hiring managers and job seekers about current job vacancies
*Manage the compensation and benefits package for local staff, including leave tracking and administration
*Lead and supervise the Performance Management process in Haiti, including Job Plans, Performance Appraisals and other reviews
*Develop and supervise a professional development policy and procedure; ensuring that key investments are made in personnel which are aligned to the organizations strategy
*Develop an annual schedule and manage all events / meetings which relate to employee relations (e.g. staff meetings, communities of practice, celebrations, etc.)
*Monitor the work environment in the different offices of the operations to ensure each of them has a safe and rewarding space for people to work
*Evaluate internal salary equity both with local staff and recommend adjustments when needed
*Manage the contracts process for local contractors; ensuring that contracts are kept valid
*Ensure compliance with local labor law and represent Habitat in relations with the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs
*Maintain and manage a communications system for employees in case of emergency or the need to communicate urgently
*Provide on-boarding support for incoming volunteers or visitors
*Perform other duties as assigned by departmental leadership


Qualifications Requises

*Bachelor's degree required, master's degree preferred
*Professional HR certification a plus
*Minimum of 6 years’ related experience across all aspects of HR, including employee relations and talent management
*Extensive working knowledge of Haiti and US employment laws, practices and procedures
*Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills
*Fluency in English, French and Haitian Creole
*Proven success in all levels of recruitment
*Ability to multi-task, managing multiple assignments, priorities and objectives simultaneously
*Ability to train, motivate and successfully influence others in staffing, HR and other disciplines
*Proven ability to develop and implement operational, and tactical staffing and selection plans; strategic sourcing, manpower and technology plans
*Ability to take initiative and work with little supervision
*Experience working in an international organization preferred.
*Experience using MS Office applications; HRIS related software preferred
