CMMB is in the process of constructing and commissioning a community hospital and guest house in an underserved, rural área in Haiti (Cotes de Fer). The Project Manager is expected to manage and coordinate all day-to-day activities in close collaboration with the CMMB Country Director, local and national Government officials, the construction contractor, and various other vendors, both local and international. Attention to established deadlines is essential. More specifically :



Operations
• In consultation with the CMMB Country Director, sets priorities, updates staffing plans, designs trainings, develops budgets and monitors overall work plans.
• Participates in the ongoing, development, implementation, and evaluation of the construction and operational plan for the project.
• Coordinates and manages the project “timeline” to ensure all project milestones are met on a timely basis.
• Coordinates and advises CMMB Country Director throughout the entire construction and implementation process.
• Continually makes on-site inspections during the course of the project, evaluating schedule in terms of actual field progress and ensuring that all appropriate details of projects are communicated between contractors and CMMB
• Compares work plan with project expenditures to anticipate, identify and address potential challenges
• Supports the CMMB Country Director in obtaining and reviewing, as needed, all activities related to vendor selection and competitive bidding.
• Schedules and attends project meetings; and documents all issues and decisions in formal meeting minutes.
• Ensures follow-up on all punch list items, corrective work, etc.
• Builds the hospital until completion of all work.
• Prepares operational plan of the hospital- Job description- Staffing
• Provides capacity building for the team taking over management of hospital, concurrently with construction
• Develops and maintains procedures and policies; and interfaces with contractors, consultants and others to assure successful completion of projects.
• Cultivates potential donors and communicates with existing donors.
• Works on the proposal for American School Hospital Abroad (ASHA) and provides technical input
• Oversee all equipment procurement and ensures adherence for acceptable quality standards.
• Establishes maintenance structure and prepares hospital for day to day operations (start up)
• Establishes and manages governance structure (manage at the beginning)
• Designing strategic plan for the hospital


Qualifications Requises

• Master`s degree and or 2-5 years of work experience in management and work coordination
• Clinic or public health background strongly preferred
• French fluency required, English and or Haitian Creole strongly preferred
• Strong communication, writing and presentation skills
• Ability to collate information from a wide variety of sources
• Experience with program and or grant management, and practiced analytical skills.
• Strong attention to detail and general organizational skills
• Ability to work under pressure, to handle multiple assignments, to prioritize workflow, to adapt to fluctuating workload and to meet deadlines.
• Ability to adapt to shifting deadlines and dynamic schedules
