Fonctions

Responsible to ensure availability and optimal performance of systems that support the Business.
• Assure optimal processes for backup and recovery operations.
• Perform Storage Capacity planning.
• Participate in vendor and other trainings as assigned., localy or abroad.
• Ahdhere to departement incident and change management procedures.
• Adhere to ticketing system to fullfill requests.
• Adhere to Digicel IT security policies and procedures.
Administer Systems ( Server, Storage, Tape Libraries, Backup systems)
• Perform on a regular basis system recovery testings.
• Produce System related KPI reports.
• Troubleshoot any issues of Hardware and Operating systems
• Install /Configure/ Administer systems as required by Business.
• Implement Backup and Restore strategies as needed.
• Follow up with vendors/ manufacturer of System in case escalation is necessary.
• Maintain IT security policy in place, ensure compliance
• Familiar with Virtualization Technologies.


Qualifications Requises

• University degree in computer science
• 2 to 5 years’ experience in IT support field
• System administration certification is a plus.(,Quantum, Oracle, Fujitsu,RED HAT,HP ect.)
• Experience in VMware is a plus.
• ITIL certification is a plus


Conditions particulières

Broad knowledge of Server and Storage technologies.
Good knowledge of shell scripting
General knowledge of Data Center Operations.
Good knowledge of MS office Suite
Good knowledge of ITSM ( Information Technology Services Management)
Ability to transfer knowledge.
Ability to adhere to a ticket system to fulfill all requests.
Ability to work after hours.
Ability to work on an on call basis out of business hours.
Capacity to work under supervision of System Team Leader.
Capacity to troubleshoot issues.
Capacity to work under pressure.
Proficient in English.
Proficiency in Spanish is a plus.
