Introduction
Under the overall supervision of the head of OCHA office and direct supervision of the Humanitarian Affairs officer in Port au Prince, the National Officer shall perform the following duties:
Fonctions
Monitor and analyze current events, public opinion and press and; draft analytical reports on the humanitarian situation in the area, as requested;
Establish and maintain a network of contacts in the humanitarian and government communities;
Compile information from a variety of internal and external ;
Assist in the organization of the Humanitarian Forum;
Help facilitate the preparation and Implementation of public information campaigns aimed at increasing the awareness of various target audiences of humanitarian issues...;
Facilitate the development of public information and advocacy strategies for OCHA Haiti;
Track the implementation of OCHA donor agreements and draft reports for donors in accordance with agreed deadlines.

Qualifications Requises
University degree (License) in political, social sciences, journalism or related field.
Fluency in oral and written English and French is essential;
Three (3) years experience in humanitarian affairs, or public relations, public information, advocacy or related field;
Strong reporting and analytical skills;
Computer literacy (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Internet; etc);
Field experience in a complex emergency environment would be an asset.
