Introduction
The Sustaining Health Outcomes through the Private Sector (SHOPS) Plus project is Abt’s follow-on project to USAID’s flagship initiative in private sector health. In Haiti, SHOPS Plus will scale-up the availability and distribution of key commodities in both public and private sectors for: family planning, maternal and child health (MCH), HIV and AIDS prevention, nutrition and water treatment. SHOPS Plus Haiti will promote the utilization of these products through branded and generic communications strategies, trainings and workshops.
Fonctions
SHOPS Plus Haiti is seeking a Marketing Director to serve as the lead advisor for the multi-sectoral SHOPS Plus Haiti program. S/he will work with private commercial sector health to ensure continuous supply of family planning, HIV, nutrition, maternal and child health and water treatment products in the Haitian market.
Specific tasks and responsibilities include:
• Collaborate with home office and program staff to promote branded products including:
o Development of marketing strategy for SHOPS Plus brands.
o Development of trade marketing materials (brochures, information fliers for private market vendors, detailing packs, point of sale materials, etc.)
o Establishment and management of detailing/sales teams
o Development of mass media communications
o Placement of marketing materials
o Sponsorship of clinical seminars, etc.
• Collaborate with the country representative to conduct monitoring of retail outlets to ensure that product sales/marketing information is reaching retail outlets, especially in rural areas
• Collaborate with the Community Outreach and Training Coordinator to work with relevant professional associations and regulatory authorities to ensure delivery of continuing medical education/seminars relating to diarrhea management to vendors and other private providers.
• Other duties as assigned to enhance multi-sectoral marketing.
Qualifications Requises
• Educational degree in pharmacology or marketing
• Minimum of 5 years of working experience in social marketing in the pharmaceutical marketing industry in Haiti or similar country.
• Thorough understanding of Haiti pharmaceutical industry and wholesale/retail distribution systems or similar country.
• Fluency in written and spoken French and English is required. Fluency in written and spoken Haitian Creole is preferred.
