Introduction

The United Methodist Committee on Relief (UMCOR) is a United States based not-for-profit organization which is registered as a non-governmental organization (NGO). UMCOR has a long operational history in Haiti. Across all its programming (livelihoods; water, sanitation and hygiene; and shelter and reconstruction), UMCOR Haiti supports community engagement. This involves extensive community-based consultation and participation as well as close coordination among project partners including the Government of Haiti (GoH) and donor partners. The overarching objective of UMCOR Haiti’s efforts is to support the Government of Haiti (GoH) in implementing sustainable post-earthquake reconstruction and development. The UMCOR Haiti Strategy which covers the period 2013-2017 takes into account Haiti’s development challenges pre-earthquake yet focuses on reconstruction and projects adequate for reconstruction given the changes in context, content, and focus of the Government of Haiti’s (GoH) “Build Back Better” agenda.
*The HR/Administrative Officer will join HR Manager, to support the HR/Administration UMCOR office


Fonctions

Responsibilities:
•The HR/Administrative Officer will report to the Human Resources Manager.
•The HR/Administrative Officer’s responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
• Assisting the HR Manager in making sure the Human Resources unit runs efficiently. This will involve dealing with communication by email, telephone also the HR tasks.
• Preparing written memos for staff information, typing up documents, amending contracts as required and maintaining log sheet.
• Preparing, receiving and forward file all incoming correspondence related to the office.
• Supporting/Assisting the planning of activities (Staff meeting, SMT meeting, seminaries, training etc) and prepare the report of the office/HR file.
• Translating document into Creole, French, and English.
• Keep update related contact list, birthday list, employee bio book etc
• Supporting/Assisting all recruitment process.
• Ensure the employee integration and employee termination to the office.
• Record keeping: Comprehensive electronic and hard copy record and filed on the HR office.
• Working closely with all public/private institutions, to get any necessary information for the office.
• Providing to the employees the identification card, Business card and other UMCOR identification needed.
• Supporting/accompanying the expat employees in any service needed (Hospital, Bank etc)
• Performing other duties as may be assigned.


Qualifications Requises

• A bachelor degree in HR/Administration, Management or other related subject
• . At least 3 to 5 years experiences in a similar position, especially in NGO or International Organization is an asset.
• Good communication, organizational and computer skill
• Speak fluently English
• Excellent knowledge of English, French, and Creole
