Introduction

Organizational Profile:
Zanmi Lasante (ZL) is a Haitian organization based in Santo, Port au Prince and is a recognized non-profit organization whose mission is to provide a preferential option for the poor in health care. Through its service delivery, training, advocacy and research, ZL works closely with its sister organization, Partners in Health (PIH) globally to bring the benefits of modern medical science to those most in need and to serve as an antidote to despair. PIH operates sites for clinical care, research and training in 10 countries (Haiti, Peru, Russia, Rwanda, Lesotho, Malawi, Liberia, Sierra Leone, Mexico and Navajo Nation) and has a growing network of affiliated organizations and initiatives in several other countries, including Nepal, Burundi, Mali, Guatemala, and Togo.

This is an exciting time for ZL. The organization is taking on immense challenges while its heightened visibility has brought the opportunity to influence even greater changes within its programs in Haiti. Fonctions

Position Overview:
Under the direction of the Executive Director of ZL and the support of senior advisors of the ZL Development Team, the Knowledge Management Associate (KMA) will work closely with the ZL team in producing communications materials for donors on sites, programs, and strategies of ZL and Partners in Health activities in Haiti. The KMA will also work in conjunction with the Development Officer in data collection, field visits and managing donor visits, schedules and developing agendas. Once donor visits have been completed, the KMA will also be responsible for following up with donors on any actionable points post visit. As part of developing a database of donors, the KMA will also develop a database of donors, making sure it is regularly updated and available to ZL Dev Team and PIH. The KMA will also be trained in Award Vision and other donor monitoring tools available within the PIH/ZL network.

Qualifications Requises

• Bachelor’s degree in communications or social sciences; emphasis on information-related aspects of international development or equivalent experience strongly preferred.
• At least 2 years relevant professional experience in international development, including experience closely related to knowledge management, organizational learning and other related fields.
• Experience working with both executive directors of programs and program managers in the health sector.
• Proven facilitation and collaboration skills working with multi-level stakeholders, including technical and subject matter experts, government agencies, local partners, researchers and others.
• Experience in developing communication pieces, agendas, electronic communications, social media, and knowledge management principles.
• Proven ability to organize and share information effectively.
• Writing/Publication expertise.
• Experience designing and or implementing strategic communication plans for country-level programs and projects.
• Experience developing communication templates.
• Successful planning and management of international events, donor visits, including meetings and conference.
• Computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint, and graphic design software (i.e Photoshop).
• Ability to travel at least 30% to Central Plateau and Lower Artibonite.
• Fluency in French, Creole and English
• Knowledge of Haiti
