Introduction

The International Foundation of Electoral Systems is seeking a communication consultant to provide targeted technical support in the planning and execution of a comprehensive media communication strategy to keep voters informed of the election process – where to vote, how to vote and when to vote-.


Fonctions

• Assist in the design, planning and execution of internal and external strategies for communications and outreach for the upcoming elections;
• Provide constructive and timely advice on inclusion of advocacy strategies in outreach activities targeting main stakeholders, including Political parties, women groups and person with disabilities;
• Support the preparation of messages for delivery in the Electoral TV and radio programs;
• Collaborate in the drafting and distribution to media of briefings, news announcements, and press releases
• Design in the implementation of a social media campaign;
• Support in the preparation of press-conferences and meetings with electoral stakeholders;
• Assist in establishing and maintaining close relationships with national and local media outlets, as well as, civil society, and other stakeholders;
• Follow-up with Radio and national TV Haitian outlets to coordinate the broadcast of daily program;
• Monitoring press, social media, and TV;
• Draft written reports


Qualifications Requises




• Bachelors or Masters in communications, international relations, development, or a related field required;


• Minimum five years’ experience in the field of communication;


• Previous experience working with high level officials and civil society organizations;


• Strong oral and written communications in French and Creole preferred;


• Previous experience working in Haiti preferred.
