Introduction

The International Foundation of Electoral Systems is seeking a consultant with experience in the development and implementation of civic education strategies to engage marginalized populations such as youth, women, persons with disabilities and the LGBTI community




Fonctions

• Contribute to programmatic needs analysis for different target groups;
• Assist in developing tools and strategies that promote genuine voter inclusion and participation in the electoral process among various stakeholders (civil society, political parties, and the general public), with emphases on strategies targeting women, youth and persons with disabilities.
• Assist in the developing of key voter information and civic education messages for the general public.
• Assist in preparing and facilitating national and rural communications, voter outreach, and voter information events in accordance with stages and benchmarks of the electoral processes.
• Assist with preparation and dissemination of briefing materials for political parties, NGOs, civil society, media, and the general voting public.
• Establish and maintain relationships with civic education organizations, as regards communications.
• Design flyers to be distributed in residential areas, schools, churches, the universities, and factories.
• Coordinate deployment and distribution of civic education materials.
• Assess the impact of civic education campaigns among voting-age public.


Qualifications Requises

• Bachelors or Masters in communications, international relations, development, or a related field required;
• Minimum five years’ experience in the field of communication;
• Previous experience working with high level officials and civil society organizations;
• Strong oral and written communications in French and Creole preferred;
• Previous experience working in Haiti preferred
