Introduction
Le projet FEED THE FUTURE WEST HAITI de l’USAID
Suite au lancement du nouveau projet agricole FEED THE FUTURE WEST HAITI financé par l’Agence de Développement International des Etats-Unis (USAID), Chemonics International Inc. recherche des candidats qualifiés pour plusieurs postes de travail. Basé à Port-au-Prince, il vise à améliorer la vie des agriculteurs dans ses zones d’intervention.
Fonctions
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Maintain administrative systems, including communication logs, budget trackers, and filing systems, including properly filing and archiving of all administrative contractual, personal, and programmatic documents both electronically and hard copy;
• Fulfill office management duties including answering phones, photocopying, faxing, etc;
• Prepare project correspondence and facilitate communication between the project office and the Chemonics home office as well as the USAID Mission as needed;
• Assist in the preparation of reports and presentation materials, specifically regarding formatting and presentation using the appropriate software;
• Assist in the procurement of office supplies, responsible for the day to day maintenance of office equipment, and maintain office inventory records;
• Assist the project technical staff in arranging travel and hotel accommodations, assist short-term consultants with logistical issues and administrative necessities, and maintain calendar records of office activities and employee travel and leave;
• Coordinate logistics for all project events, including meetings, conferences, and trainings;
• Assist the project Chief of Party (COP) to make appointments and take notes of staff meetings and other key office or COP meetings;
• Perform any other administrative or financial tasks as assigned by supervisor or COP which are consistent with the general Administrative Assistant scope of work and the general project requirements.
Qualifications Requises
QUALIFICATIONS and KEY COMPETENCIES
• Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in humanities, social sciences, secretarial training, or similar degree;
• At least three years of relevant experience in Haiti working on donor-funded projects. USAID project experience is highly desirable.
• Experience managing project offices.
• Computer proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point;
• Exercise good, professional judgment that reflects positively on the image and communicates the established program message of the FEED THE FUTURE WEST HAITI project.;
• Interpersonal Skills: Ability to work in a professional and cordial manner with fellow staff members, subcontractors and vendors, governmental entities, support organizations, and the general public; set a positive example for support staff.
• Language Skills: Fluent French, Creole, and functional English are required (both writing and speaking).
