Le projet FEED THE FUTURE WEST HAITI de l’USAID



Suite au lancement du nouveau projet agricole FEED THE FUTURE WEST HAITI financé par l’Agence de Développement International des Etats-Unis (USAID), Chemonics International Inc. recherche des candidats qualifiés pour plusieurs postes de travail. Basé à Port-au-Prince, il vise à améliorer la vie des agriculteurs dans ses zones d’intervention.


Fonctions

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Responsible for the preparation of RFA/RFP/RFQs, executing grant agreement/subcontracts, and closeing out the activities;
• Serve as the main point of contact between the field office, home office, and partners regarding grant compliance and negotiation;
• Serves on Technical Evaluation Committee (TEC) meetings as required to review and approve grant activities. Spearheads effective interactions between the grants team and the technical team at the beginning of the award process in order to ensure the soundness of all background documents and materials;
• Responsible for organizing and tracking activity documentation and ensures grants compliance with USAID rules and regulations;
• Responsible for the monitoring of individual grant/subcontract budgets to ensure availability of funds;
• Develops and submits to the COP regular reports on grants activities, including analysis of issues, constraints and bottlenecks, documentation of lessons learned, and description of corrective measures taken;
• Reviews applications, evaluates the cost application for cost realism and cost effectiveness, finalizes grant/subcontract documents, and manages and monitors the grants/subcontracts approvals;
• Assists in reviewing and analyzing budget estimates for reasonableness, and consistency;
• Performs pre-award determinations of applicant management and technical capacities to administer grant/subcontract awards responsibly and advise on how to enhance recipient capabilities;
• Reviews how the grantees/subcontractors manage procurement, source, origin, inventory, care, maintenance and disposition of grant purchased equipment, and assists in improving their processes, as necessary;

This position will be based in Port au Prince metro area, Haiti.


Qualifications Requises

QUALIFICATIONS and KEY COMPETENCIES

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
• Five years of experience managing grants and subcontracts, preferably on an international donor project
• Two years of experience working on USAID-funded projects preferred
• Excellent communications skills in French, Creole, and English;
• Excellent organizational skills; and,
• Broad understanding of USAID activities, counterparts, and communication requirements.
