Le projet FEED THE FUTURE WEST HAITI de l’USAID



Suite au lancement du nouveau projet agricole FEED THE FUTURE WEST HAITI financé par l’Agence de Développement International des Etats-Unis (USAID), Chemonics International Inc. recherche des candidats qualifiés pour plusieurs postes de travail. Basé à Port-au-Prince, il vise à améliorer la vie des agriculteurs dans ses zones d’intervention.


Fonctions

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The Communications Specialist will be responsible for supporting specific project initiatives with communications activities and public awareness programs to assure that stakeholders understand and are able to access the benefits of FEED THE FUTURE WEST HAITI work. General responsibilities of this postion include:
• Develop and implement a Communications Plan.
• Collaborate with project staff to ensure that results of project activities are documented and communicated effectively and expediently to stakeholders, USAID, and the Haitian public.
• Supervise and coordinate inputs from counterparts in the development and realization of communications activities.
• Manage the internal communications of the project and support the Chief of Party and technical staff in their external communications.
• Apply USAID’s branding and marking regulations and other communications guidelines (event planning, meeting concurrence, etc); liaison with USAID’s Development Outreach Coordinator to ensure correct branding of all training materials, presentation, printing materials and outgoing mail.
• Coordinate project events, including workshops, trainings, presentations, surveys, etc.
• Review media coverage related to the project.
• Identify project success story topics and prepare success stories for submission to USAID and other audiences.
• Photograph project sites to document project-sponsored improvements with “before and after” photos.
• Work with vendor to develop project video(s).


Qualifications Requises

QUALIFICATIONS and KEY COMPETENCIES

• Bachelor’s degree in communications, public relations, journalism, or other related field
• Five years of experience in responsible positions in public relations, communications, customer service, and human resource management;
• Two years of experience working on international donor projects;
• Excellent communications skills in French, Creole, and English;
• Excellent organizational skills; and,
• Broad understanding of USAID activities, counterparts, and communication requirements.

This position will be based in Port au Prince metro area, Haiti.
