Nearshore Americas – an international media, research and conference group – announces its interest in seeking qualified professionals to apply for the position of “Marketing and Sales Associate” with the Nearshore Americas team. Haitian-born professionals, who are living in Port au Prince, currently are
preferred. Nearshore Americas, established in 2009, has grown to become the most influential media and research group in the Americas focused on IT and BPO investment and trends. Our group manages and deploys editorial content, marketing services, conferences, and advisory and research services to a wide range of international audiences and clients. The sales associate role is designed for a person working in a ‘virtual office’ setting.

The sales and marketing associate will be someone who can manage multiple projects at once; someone who is fast-on-their-feet, and ideally a person who have lived in either the United States or Canada and
thus is familiar with the work-cultures in those countries. We seek an individual who is fluent in digital technologies, and has a background in publishing and media – either online or print. Those with some
exposure or practical experience in sales, and business development are preferred.
Candidate responsibilities include:
- Working with designers to produce websites, graphics and HTMLs
- Coordinating marketing programs, including white papers, webinars and customer media
- Development and execution of strategies to promote research reports online
- Strong fluency and capabilities in using social media to expand brand awareness

Core requirements:
- Partial or complete college education.
- Native or “near-native” fluency in English.
- Haitian-extraction living in Port au Prince
- Ability to work productively in a home-office setting – with reliable Internet
Finally, this position requires that the person is self-motivated and works well independently.
