The Lead Community Liaison Office (LCLO) will be responsible for developing relationships, and mobilizing community contributions for the CUCD program focused on achieving a better function and more resilient urban area, through carefully planned neighborhood upgrading, and urban management initiatives. As the program also aims to create a more dynamic and equitable livelihoods sector by reducing market barriers and inefficiencies, and stimulating new economic opportunities in Canaan, outside Croix-des-Bouquets, Haiti, the proposed candidate will coordinate and collaborate with local stakeholders within the community to engage their participation in the program’s livelihoods development activities . The LCLO will be responsible for accountability to beneficiaries and will assist in improving outreach to the identified community.


Qualifications Requises

The Pan American Development Foundation is looking for a:
Lead Community Liaison Office
Required Qualifications:
• BA/BS in Social Services, Community Development, Communications or equivalent university degree required; Masters or other advanced degree preferred
• At least 5 years of on-the-ground experience managing development project in Haiti and/or similar developing country contexts; specific Haiti experience strongly preferred
• At least 3 years of experience working directly with beneficiary communities in Haiti and/or similar developing country contexts, community development experience preferred
• Experience working on housing, neighborhood reconstruction/renewal, community planning, livelihoods, training/sensitization, camp management, or related fields strongly preferred
• Familiarity with USAID and/or other major donor-funded projects preferred
• Fluent in Haitian Creole; intermediate or higher level of English preferred

• Excellent interpersonal relationship skills,
• Ability to prioritize, handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines under stressful conditions;
• High level of maturity, good judgment, flexibility and integrity of character;
• Cultural sensitivity, and an ability to engage in with local leaders, municipal representatives, community based organizations, and other stakeholders
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem solving skills.


Conditions de travail

Location : Full-time local position based out of the PADF-Haiti office in Port-au-Prince
Duration of the assignment: Anticipated July 2015
Deadline : February 27th, 2015
