Introduction

Chemonics seeks deputy chief of party candidates and technical specialists for an anticipated USAID-funded early grade reading program. This program aims to improve reading and writing skills in Haitian Creole and French for 100 million children in primary grades in the development corridors of Cap Haitien, Saint Marc, and Port-au-Prince. We are looking for individuals who have a passion for making a difference in the lives of people around the world


Fonctions

Capacity Building Advisor
o Role:
 Provide leadership, management, and technical assistance for capacity development of governmental organizations focused on education quality improvement and leadership.
 Strengthen MENFP’s capacity to develop curriculum and materials, train teachers, and support personnel.
 Strengthen MENFP’s ability to assess, monitor, and evaluate early grade reading activities.
 Work with Community Engagement Specialist to develop capacity building activities for local organizations to design and implement their own community engagement activities.


Qualifications Requises




o Qualifications:


 Undergraduate degree in education, teacher training, education policy, and/or education management.


 At least 5 years of experience assessing educational institutions, designing and implementing capacity building programs in response to the assessment, and monitoring results.


 Advanced knowledge of the MENFP, PDCL, DEF, and other Haitian education institutions.


 Fluency in French and Haitian Creole required, English preferred.
