Chemonics seeks deputy chief of party candidates and technical specialists for an anticipated USAID-funded early grade reading program. This program aims to improve reading and writing skills in Haitian Creole and French for 100 million children in primary grades in the development corridors of Cap Haitien, Saint Marc, and Port-au-Prince. Fonctions
Curriculum and Materials Development Specialist
o Role
Coordinate the process of gathering and reviewing existing reading curriculum and identify gaps in content, pedagogy, and assessment.
Organize the creation and/or revision of standardized packages of evidence-based curricular materials and tools for teaching and learning in French and Haitian Creole.
Provide support for design of effective curriculum, lesson planning, instructional approaches and materials (textbooks and supplementary books and materials for reading and writing in grades 1-4).
Assist MENFP personnel in the analysis and appraisal of curriculum reform efforts and materials development and production to support improved reading outcomes.
Support other specialists on the team to ensure coherent program design.
Qualifications Requises
o Qualifications
Graduate degree in education, curriculum, and/or materials design.
Minimum 7 years of experience designing and reforming education curriculum, particularly literacy-centered teaching materials.
Knowledge of the MENFP system, including experience working with EFACAP.
Fluency in French and Haitian Creole required, English preferred.
