Introduction

Chemonics seeks deputy chief of party candidates and technical specialists for an anticipated USAID-funded early grade reading program. This program aims to improve reading and writing skills in Haitian Creole and French for 100 million children in primary grades in the development corridors of Cap Haitien, Saint Marc, and Port-au-Prince. We are looking for individuals who have a passion for making a difference in the lives of people around the world


Fonctions

Gender and Inclusion Specialist
o Role
 Review curriculum, teaching and learning materials, supplementary materials, and education campaigns to ensure gender and disability considerations are appropriately addressed.
 Work with MENFP and the Special Education and Social Support Committee (CASAS) to ensure gender and disability considerations are included in all teacher training modules.
 Train teachers in the areas of gender and disability inclusive education; develop training in both areas to be given to teachers during in-service training.
 Work with master trainers and coaches to identify ways that coaches can observe teachers and evaluate their considerations of gender and disability in the classroom.


Qualifications Requises

o Qualifications:
 Graduate degree in gender, special education, education, or related subject.
 At least 6 years of experience in donor-funded gender, education, and/or disability projects.
 Experience reviewing and developing teacher training modules in the areas of gender and disability awareness.
 Fluency in Haitian Creole and French required, English preferred.
