Major Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
1. Conducts routine visits to assigned health facilities to provide supportive supervision, follow up on the implementation of QI activities, follow up on the implementation of training activities, and follow up on the implementation of the NACS protocol
2. Leads the planning, operationalizing, and monitoring of SPRING’s QI activities
3. Supports health facilities in implementing NACS and QI approach in assigned health facilities
4. Supports the implementation of NACS training and related activities in assigned health facilities in close collaboration with the Training Advisor- Training
5. Provides NACS, QI and related technical assistance to the MSPP and implementing partners
6. Provides support for national-level NACS and QI related events
7. Represents SPRING/Haiti in relevant technical coordination meetings and forums within the country and region
8. Participates in national technical working groups and committees related to SPRING/Haiti program, in consultation with the Program Manager
9. Supports the M&E Advisor with data collection and reporting for the assigned health facilities
10. Supports the country office to prepare project proposals, interim and final reports for submission to donors
11. Works with other technical team members, and identifies opportunities for further technical assistance for strengthening health systems for quality delivery of nutrition services
12. Submits monthly work agenda to the Program Manager including all sub-activities two week prior to the beginning of each month
13. Submits activity reports for all activities engaged in that includes what worked well, challenges, recommendations and next steps
14. Participates in regular SPRING/Haiti activities such as staff meetings, retreats, and technical update sessions
15. Support the country office to prepare reports for submission to USAID
16. Provides other technical or programmatic support as needed
Qualifications Requises
1. Masters’ degree in Human Nutrition, Public Health or other closely related fields coupled with hands on experience.
2. At least 5 years experience proven experience in implementing community and facility based MCHN, HIV and AIDS, or other health-related work required
3. Experience working in health and nutrition, training and SBCC, NACS and QI
4. Good English written and oral communication skills and ability to write for a range of audiences and purposes. Superior presentation skills.
5. Fluency in French and Haitian Creole required.
6. Demonstrated ability to initiate and manage significant technical activities, including designing activities, develop good working relationship with other nutrition partners, and reporting
7. Ability to undertake problem analyses and organize diverse information in a systematic way while thinking creatively to propose approaches to improve program design, implementation and results reporting.
8. Self-starter, with an ability to effectively work independently and if needed outside of conventional office environments.
9. Ability to work effectively in a team consisting of people with different technical backgrounds and with varying levels of technical training.
10. Demonstrated managerial, supervisory and interpersonal skills, including the ability to facilitate relationships, interact smoothly and effectively with clients and colleagues, and mentor junior technical staff.
11. Ability to translate technical information into practical guidance and tools and effectively communicate these using print, electronic, and presentation media.
12. Proven track record that demonstrates leadership skills, project management, budget and resource management experience, and client relationship management capability.
13. Experience working across multiple sub agreements and partners; ability to work well with people at all levels. Team player with ability to work with staff , partners and beneficiaries of different backgrounds
14. Strong initiative and self-motivation required, with a commitment to teamwork and effectiveness within a dynamic multi-disciplinary project
