The Haiti Integrated Financial Management System (IFMS) Project is a USAID program implemented by Chemonics Fondation in Haiti. The goal of the IFMS is to provide continued assistance and support to the Government of Haiti’s Ministry of Economy and Finance in the development of a full and complete Integrated Financial Management System to enhance governance efforts and combat corruption
Fonctions
The Communications Specialist will be responsible for supporting specific project initiatives with communications activities and public awareness programs to assure that stakeholders understand and are able to access the benefits of IFMS work. General responsibilities of this postion include:
• Develop and implement a Communications Plan.
• Collaborate with project staff to ensure that results of project activities and GoH reforms are documented and communicated effectively and expediently to stakeholders, USAID, and the Haitian public.
• Supervise and coordinate inputs from counterparts in the development and realization of communications activities.
• Manage the internal communications of the project and support the Chief of Party and technical staff in their external communications.
This position will be based in Port au Prince metro area, Haiti.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities
1. Apply USAID’s branding and marking regulations and other communications guidelines (event planning, meeting concurrence, etc); liaison with USAID’s Development Outreach Coordinator to ensure correct branding of all training materials, presentation, printing materials and outgoing mail.
2. Coordinate project events, including workshops, trainings, presentations, surveys, etc.
3. Review media coverage related to the project.
4. Identify project success story topics and prepare success stories for submission to USAID and other audiences.
5. Photograph project sites to document project-sponsored improvements with “before and after” photos.
6. Work with vendor to develop prtoject video(s).
Qualifications Requises
Job Qualifications
1. Five years of experience in responsible positions in public relations, communications, customer service, and human resource management;
2. Two years of experience working on international donor projects;
3. Excellent communications skills in French and English;
4. Excellent organizational skills; and,
5. Broad understanding of USAID economic growth activities, counterparts, and USAID communication requirements.
