Position Summary
Futures Group is seeking a Nurse Informatics Officer for a USAID-funded Strategic Information contract supporting the Government of Haiti. The Futures team provides a range of technical assistance including: support for the continued development and implementation of the national systems and strategic information strategy; improving information flow and existing systems to guide policy and program decisions; facilitating interoperability between disparate systems including specific efforts to harmonize and integrate laboratory, pharmacy, and electronic medical records (EMR) sub-systems.
The Nurse Informatics Officer will be responsible for field healthcare data collection. The position will report to the Senior Nurse Informatics Officer and be based in Port-au-Prince, Haiti with significant provincial travel.

esponsibilities
Revision of data collection tools (paper and informatics) at the central level. The Nurse Informatics Officer will work in close collaboration with program directors at the central and departmental levels
Identify gaps and establish baseline information for improvements to Haiti’s healthcare reporting on delivery system
Assist in data cleaning using reports generated, which will entail data validation and identification of gaps, inconsistencies, imbalances, errors, missing/conflicting data, and/or double counting
Administering and verifying questionnaires from the field for accuracy and completeness of data
Providing written weekly briefings to the Senior Nurse Informatics Officer
Any other duties as assigned by the Senior Nurse Informatics Officer related to data entry and data use duties
Qualifications Requises
5 years of professional experience in nursing or related healthcare field
Experience working in field healthcare data collection (i.e.: health surveys, routine statistical reporting) required
Bachelor’s degree in nursing with post graduate degree in public health or community health
Demonstrated ability to collaborate and communicate in positive working relationships with other team members and partners
Written and spoken French and Creole; written and spoken English is a plus
Experience with USAID funded health projects is a plus
Must be able to travel locally in Haiti
Haitian citizenship
