Technical Experts - Agriculture – Haiti Agriculture Research Project
The PADF is seeking short-term consultants for a USAID-funded Agriculture Research and Development project in Haiti.

Position Summary: PADF seeks candidates to support an upcoming USAID/Haiti Agriculture Research Project. PADF seeks individuals with expertise in one or more of the following:
Agribusiness
Cooperative Development
Soil Sciences
Agriculture Extension/Adult Education
Biology
Forestry and Agroforestry
Tropical Agriculture
Crop experts in rice, corn, basic grains and high-value horticulture
Water Resources Management and Irrigation
Environmental Education
Natural Resource Management

• For all positions a B.A./B.S/ degree is required; an advanced degree is preferred.
• Minimum of seven years of relative experience
• Experience in Haiti strongly preferred.
• Experience with USAID, USDA, and other USG institutions strongly preferred.
• Proficient in oral and written English and French; Haitian Creole strongly preferred
• Extensive experience working and managing activities in challenging political and physical environments.

• Demonstrated ability to elaborate and implement systems and procedures and the ability to effectively communicate these to program/technical staff in order to ensure their compliance;
• Cultural sensitivity, and an ability to engage in difficult conversations with high level officials, victims, and other stakeholders
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem solving skills.
