Fonctions
We are seeking Agricultural Extension candidates for an anticipated multiyear, USAID-funded agribusiness project, Support to Agricultural Research and Development Program. The project’s objective is to increase farmer’s income and resiliency in the Port-au-Prince and Saint-Marc development corridors.
Responsibilities:
• Reach out to the community to make inroads and develop possible activities
• Identify implementation issues and work with relevant project stakeholders to solve them
• Participate in the creation and implementation of programmatic work plans in accordance with USAID’s overall objectives
• Provide overall direction and guidance pertaining to agricultural and productivity interventions
• Ensure community participation and link with local government
• Develop strategic methodologies and interventions for agricultural development relevant to project activities
• Provide the agribusiness technical strategy and support for the entire project, working closely with consortium partners.
• Liaise with private sector organizations to establish linkages between private sector companies and producer organizations that strengthen the selected agricultural value chains.
Qualifications Requises
Qualifications:
• Minimum bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (agronomy, plant science, etc.)
• Fluent in Haitian Creole
• Spoken and written fluency in English or French, with working ability in both languages
• Experience in curriculum development and outreach strategies, management of extension systems
• Demonstrated ability to work and coordinate effectively with a wide variety of stakeholders
