Introduction

The US Agency for International Development (USAID)-funded Appui à la Valorisation du Potentiel Agricole du Nord, à la Sécurité Économique et Environnementale program (AVANSE) is a five-year, $87.8 million project designed to catalyze inclusive, sustainable economic growth in a potentially highly productive agricultural area and works to increase agricultural incomes. The program is based in Haiti’s Northern Corridor with the main project office in Cap-Haïtien.
The AVANSE Project seeks a highly motivated and skilled individual with general grants administration experience to join its Grants and Subcontracts team. The ideal candidate will be able to administer a wide variety of subject matter areas. The Grants Officer will support the full administration of grants to support their effective implementation within the Project.


Fonctions

Specific Tasks: The Grants Officer is responsible for the following tasks, but not limited to:

• Collaborate with technical staff and prepare solicitation documents (AMIs, RFP, RFA, etc.).
• Conduct and document the proposal evaluation process to ensure USAID and FAR competition requirements are met.
• Prepare, submit, process, and keep track of grant agreements and related documentation.
• Coordinate with administrative and technical departments to facilitate procurement for in-kind grants.
• Review grantees financial and technical reports and ensure proper approvals are obtained.
• Other tasks as required.


Qualifications Requises

Qualifications:

• 5-8 years of professional experience in grants administration, preferably in the agriculture industry.

• Good working knowledge and experience administering USAID funded grants, with FAR and AIDAR regulations.

• Proven experience in writing high quality subcontracting and grants documentation including RFPs, RFA, SOWs, evaluation criteria, financial offer formats and other fundamental documents.

• Highly organized, detail-oriented individual experienced in managing competing priorities under tight deadlines.


• Good communication skills, as this individual will interact often with others

• Sound business judgment and analytical/reasoning skills.

• Fluency in Haitian Creole, French, and English required. Capacity to translate documents in either language necessary.

• Excellent writing, editing skills a must!

• University degree in a relevant field.
