The US Agency for International Development (USAID)-funded Appui à la Valorisation du Potentiel Agricole du Nord, à la Sécurité Économique et Environnementale program (AVANSE) is a five-year, $87.8 million project designed to catalyze inclusive, sustainable economic growth in a potentially highly productive agricultural area. The program is based in Haiti’s Northern Corridor / Cap-Haïtien and works to increase agricultural incomes by achieving the following results:
1) Agricultural Productivity Increased
2) Watershed Stability above Selected Plains Improved
3) Agricultural Markets Strengthened
4) Capacity of Local Organizations Strengthened
The AVANSE Project team is seeking a highly motivated and skilled individual with experience in monitoring and evaluation to join its team.
Fonctions
• Under the direction of the M&E Specialist, assist in the development of relevant milestones and indicators for substantive accomplishment in each of the projects main task areas;
• Formulate operations plans to monitor milestones and report on indicators, including the development of survey calendars, organizing trainings for survey technicians, and personal field visits to control for data quality;
• Assist with M&E data collection review and reporting, and conduct M&E activities according to the PMP;
• Ensure that project indicators are integrated into the project’s implementation strategy;
• Provide basic trainings for other staff about M&E approaches and techniques as they concern the various IR teams of the project;
• Cooperate with external teams on data collection and project evaluation activities;
• Write monthly, quarterly and annual reports on the progress of the AVANSE progress in terms of its performance with respect to established M&E indicators;
• Complete any other tasks related to project data and performance management as required by the M&E Specialist.
Qualifications Requises
• 5-8 of experience in the area of M&E with proven ability to design and implement an M&E plan
• University degree in a relevant field
• Significant experience in Haiti required and experience working with international donor agencies such as USAID
• Fluency in Haitian Creole and French required; proficiency in English desired
