International NGO needs to recruit a child Sponsorship Coordinator
Position based in Port-au-Prince with frequent trips on the field.
General Responsibilities
• Coordinate efforts to generate CS resources, strengthen relationships with sponsors and, funding affiliates
• Support Manager in ensuring that all CS programs and initiatives are implemented in an effective manner
• Coordinate and account for the development of CP growth plan with regards to CS
Fonctions
Specific responsibilities:
• Initiate and strengthen relationships with all FAs through a systematic communication plan designed to increase support of the organization over the long term, liase with them for all that appeal to the drafting / finalization of relevant reports and ensure mailing of all required documents as indicated in the monitoring and tracking tool for developing the layout ;
• Enforce and report regularly in accordance with all reporting deadlines, review specific actions to be taken in order to deal with or anticipate poor performance ; keep track, take adequate actions to mitigate delay, keep management and International informed of all potential technical problems
• Ensure high quality implementation of all sponsor communications according to the sponsorship Policies and Procedures
• Solicit and share learning on performance indicators in liaison with sponsorship, marketing and fundraising practitioners from other CPs, and learn from their WOW to increase performances ;
• Support Manager in developing a long term funding plan for the Country Programmes (CP) to integrate into the annual and three year planning processes
• Interpret, share sponsorship trend analysis and guide Management team on compliance with sponsorship rules and policies accordingly ;
• Ensure effective coordination and good working relationship between Sponsorship Unit and programmes on reporting and production of sponsorship related communications
• Contribute to the wider development of Sponsorship policy and practices and lead relationships on these issues with other parts of the organization.
• ensure the implementation of the work plans and the annual budget of the department, in accordance with the Annual Operational Plan of the office ;
• Participate in the development of quality project proposals and subsequent program reporting, in a timely fashion while ensuring regular review/ update of risk matrix related to CS ;
• Ensure provision of periodic reports and special reports on activities carried out (such as appraisals, child message collection exercises reports) by the Sponsorship Unit ;
• Participate actively in department meetings, induction /re-induction process of staff
Qualifications Requises
Essential Experience
• At least 5 years relevant experience, of which three years must be at leadership position in a reputable organization, preferably an NGO.
• Good understanding of current Partnership, Fundraising, Campaign and sponsorship communication issues.
• In depth knowledge of current debates and thinking on Development themes, Media, Communication etc…
• Knowledge of international and regional instruments, structures, and organizations used for promotion and protection of Child sponsorship
• Strong communication, writing and editing skills.
• Strong Computer skills in relevant applications
