Introduction
Chemonics International seeks a deputy chief of party for the USAID-funded Haiti I-TRADE project in Port-au-Prince. The DCOP will have a significant role in the planning and execution of technical activities and will manage the development of scopes of work and deliverables for the project.
Fonctions
Responsibilities include: supervise short- and long-term local staff and expatriate consultants; coordinate with team leaders and strategic partners on all ongoing technical work; oversee the development and submission of deliverables; and assist in the programming of short-term technical assistance, including preparing and reviewing individual scopes of work and terms of reference.
Qualifications Requises
-Advanced degree in a relevant field
-Minimum five years of experience managing and supervising project teams
-Experience with transitional economies, preferably in Haiti
-Experience managing USAID projects preferred
-Skilled in budget development, financial management, and oversight
-Ability to work effectively with a broad spectrum of counterparts, from administrative staff to senior-level officials in the public and private sectors
-Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
-Excellent delegation, coordination, communication, and presentation skills
-Ability to effectively liaise with USAID and be responsive to requests for technical assistance and information
-Fluency in French required
