Chemonics International seeks an IT Training and Support Specialist for an anticipated three-year, $8-10 million USAID-funded Integrated Financial Management System Project in Haiti. The project is expected to provide continued assistance and support to the Government of Haiti’s Ministry of Economy and Finance in the development of a full and complete Integrated Financial Management System to enhance governance efforts and combat corruption. Fonctions
• Conducting system training needs assessment by collecting information pertaining to work procedures, work flow, and requirements; understanding job-specific functions and tasks.
• Working with vendors to ensure the systems receive the support they need.
• Organizing a sound technical support plan.
• Assisting in new system implementations.
• Designing training manuals by identifying and describing specific needs for building capacity; using desktop publishing; submitting initial versions for review; revising and editing final copy.
• Designing computer training manuals by identifying and describing information needs; using desktop publishing; submitting initial versions for review; revising and editing final copy.
• Maximizing use of hardware and software by training users; interpreting instructions; answering question
• Evaluating vendor-supplied software by studying user objectives; testing software compatibility with existing hardware and programs.
• Preparing reference for users by writing operating instructions.
• Working with the teams that directly support the users.
Qualifications Requises
• Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Engineering or a related field
• Average 7-10 years prior IT experience required
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interface with all levels within the organization
• Strong communication skills including clear and precise writing, an engaging presentation style, and group facilitation skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, Training, Training Management, Problem Solving, Vendor Relationships, Software Testing
• Knowledge of principles and methods for curriculum and training design, teaching and instruction for individuals and groups, workforce analysis, and the measurement of training effects
• Proficiency in English and French, Haitian Creole desired
