Introduction

Prosperity Catalyst, a U.S.501(c)(3), incubates prosperity by preparing, training, and supporting women in a holistic way to launch candle making businesses, allowing them to independently tap into local and regional markets. In 2013, Prosperity Catalyst expanded its reach to Haiti by establishing Fanm Limye, a women’s association based in Cap-Haitien, with the goal of transitioning it to a full Haitian corporation (Société Anonyme) in the very near-term. Under the in-country leadership of Prosperity Catalyst’s Interim In- Country Director and Operations Manager, Fanm Limye has recruited and trained 12 women apprentice entrepreneurs who will begin producing candles for sale in domestic and international markets in the months to come.
